I signed a 7 month lease which was up on July 4th. I asked for an extra month after my lease expired and they said, no problem. I went in to pay this months rent and they ask me to pay almost $300 more for the extra month. I told them I was not told of an increase in rent and I don't have the extra money for this. Is this legal for them to raise the rent without any kind of notice? They also put a 5 day notice on my door.

My ex is not complying with the courts order for visitation. I am supposed to see my child every other weekend and this hasn't ever happened since my divorce was final in Aug of '06. Is there anything legal I can do about my situation.

Me and my boyfriend have been living in an RV for the past year-and-a-half or so it's in his name and his ex-wife's name well everything is okay until he gets mad at me and wants me to leave and tries to kick me out when I'm here all the time and he's a truck driver it's only when he gets mad he tries to kick me out is there any type of law here in Texas that can prevent him from kicking me out

I've had a leak in the wall in my kitchen from the unit above me, I submitted a maintenance request, the maintenance department falsely closed out the request without taking care of the issue and said there was no signs of leakage. I informed property management of the issue, they got a maintenance man to come to my unit and upon first sight he noticed that it was a major problem and stated that he would come back on Monday 01/06/2020 when his supervisor was on duty and has not returned. The leak has been going on for months. I'm sure that there may be mildew by now. What are my rights?

I allowed my daughter's boyfriend to move in to my home. He is not on the lease but has been for over a year. We originally had a verbal agreement where he would pay rent and do chores for the short time he was staying there. He did not do that. In April 2018 we created roommate agreement that stated how much everyone was to pay and we all signed. He has not paid according to the agreement. I have asked him to leave. He says he has 30 days per the agreement that he has not honored but I want him out max 2 weeks. Do I have to give him written notice or the 30 days? TY

My neighbor has a defective air conditioner in there back yard,and it is about 100 feet from my patio.the noise from it is about 5 times louder than a normal home air conditioner.This will be the 3rd year we have had to listen to the nerve racking noise which comes from the A/C I have talked to the neighbor but they refuse to repair it.My question is,is this a county matter or a civil matter?Thank you

My father has turned my girlfriend in to DHR on suspicision of child abuse of my son. I am a single parent with full custody of my son. My girlfriend lives out of state. My father has threatened to file for temporary custody unless I allow my son to stay with him until the case is closed. I do not have the funds to fight my father in court and felt I had no other choice. My son has been with my father for three nights now. I want to take him back home with me but does my father have the ability to take temporary custody and if so do I need a lawyer to deny him this?

I'm moving at the end of my lease this month. I've asked Management for a walk-through with me on the last day to ensure I've met all the cleaning expectations in order to get my deposit back. Management says it isn't necessary since they think I keep a clean place. My concern is that after I'm gone, trumped up "repairs" will be noted on my account and they will keep my deposit. They've not been the most ethical and business-like over the past year. What are my rights?
