My ex husband currently has temporary custody of our three kids. The order was granted for a year. That year has past already and since then I have made great progress in life. It was my decision to give their father the kids because after he abandoned me and the kids, I was having a difficult time trying to support myself and my kids. Throughout our 13yr marriage I was a stay at home mother as he requested, so being as such, gaining stability did not come easy. Now that I have stability he makes it hard to be active in our kids lives. How do I regain rights to my kids?

My boyfriend and I see his seven year old son every other weekend. I learned the child might not have medical insurance. In the Court documents; it states that the mother is responsible for his medical. The child has never seen a dentist and complains of pain when brushing his teeth. Is that grounds for neglect? I am a manitory reporter, I am worried if I let it go, I could get into trouble myself if child has injury or gets sick.

My son just turned 18. He should be entering his senior year in high school so the court papers say I pay child support until he is out of school or 19 years old. He quit school and was supposed to get his GED. He has not nor does it look like he ever will. “Until 19” clause was there to ensure support through high school. Since he is not enrolled, shouldn’t I be able to stop support since he is 18. I don’t support these choices made by him and his mother.
