  • I have sole legal decision making of my daughter and I was planning on filing for an out of state move. My ex gets out daughter on the weekends and after missing last weekend, she informs my that see will be in Chicago for a month maybe longer for a family tragedy. Now whether or not if that is true does that change the way that I file or will I have to wait for her to come back whenever that maybe.
  • I went to a lawyer for my divorce. He quoted "about $1500.00, maybe a little more." Due to mistakes his people made the divorce took about 8 months. He is now billing me for over $10,000.00. There was no fighting between my former spouse and me, at all. He will not tell my why the cost is more than six times the original amount, and he is now adding interest of 18%.
  • Can I live in a different county and have joint custody?
  • I rented a home for almost 8 years. We were never offered any carpet cleaning or paint the entire time we were there. The landlord about a year ago said they would give us paint but only with a new year lease. I heard that they are required to offer carpet cleaning and paint every 2-3 years. They are trying to charge us now that we've moved for carpet cleaning and new paint. Are they able to do that when we got nothing the whole time?
