We had an installer for a cable company in our house. My dog broke through the gate and bit his pants which scraped his leg. No puncture through the skin, no bleeding. Not trying to minimize what happened. It was scary. He put in a claim with his workmans comp. Now the Workmans Comp insurance company is sending us notices that we are responible to re-emburse them. The notice says "Medical Lein" Is this legal? They are being paid by the company and they also want to collect from us? The letter says I should submit a claim to my home owners insurance. Help? Thank you, J

My ex mostly has custody of our four-year-old boy. She quit her job the same week we went to court and then got hired back once child support was determined based on her not working and living with her cousin. Now, her green card has expired. She did receive a temporary extension to March 2015. She received her card through a fraud marriage and lied to immigration about her address, of course all this was found out through court. If she does not get her card renewed can she legally take our son to Mexico and continue to collect child support as she continually threatens to do?

If an undesignated felony 6 is dropped to a misdemeanor; is that person still considered a felon? Are they still required to report a felony conviction or can they legally state they are not a felon? What are the benefits of getting a felony dropped to a misdemeanor? I understand the expungement and set aside concepts but if a background check still shows a felony even though it was dropped to a misdemeanor and set aside what do we have to do to get it to show accurately and display the conviction as a misdemeanor? Whats the point if getting it dropped and set aside if it shows a felony?

If amenities are included in our rent but they shut down every single one of them due to the COVID 19 (2 pools, business center, exercise room, tennis court, all BBQ patios), should we still be charged for this? It is an extra $50.00 on our monthly statement.
