My husband had what was deemed by a Dr. at Mayo as necessary surgery in 2008. All insurance info was provided and they knew he was Medicare. No one said a word about the possibility of no coverage. Now, 3 yrs. later, medicare has said they won't pay the claim and Mayo has said we owe $10,000 which would be impossible to pay since we are on SS and pension. Had we been told that at the outset, we would not have proceeded with the surgery. Wasn't it Mayo's responsibilty at the time to check out if they would get paid? How do we get this debt dismissed?

Iattempted suicideby bringing a propane tank into my home, letting it run gas, then igniting it. I was badly burned, arrested for arson of an occupied structure (me), a class 2 felony. I was held 4 days and released because no charges were filed. Are charges likely to be filed? Am I likely to go to prison? I have no priors. I plan to seek psychiatric help and counseling as I feel it is needed. Would or could that help my cause if I am charged and arrested? Thank you.

We've been living with my boyfriends parents and we're paying rent every month. This month we paid rent, then 2 days later we were given the rent money back and told us we have 30 days to find somewhere else to go. Then 2 weeks later they decided to let us stay and are now asking for rent money again for this month. (and we are going into an apartment next month "July") Any advice on what to do would be great!

My husband apparently owes $40,000 to arrears. He has been garnished for two years now and the amount on the statements does not go down, is there something wrong with this? Plus even though he pays child support and arrears they just now put a hold on his bank account, can they do this?

I have been paying child support to my ex since the day our child has been born. We have split up since. I am worried that because I have not made the payments through the system that they are not going to count. How can I make sure what I have already paid and what I will be paying will be counted if she takes me to court? I have a girlfriend now and I believe when she finds out that is where we will end up.

I was arrested on a criminal charge. I was read Miranda and I asked for an attorney. At 11am the next day, I was taken before a judge. She read the charges and set bail. Then I was taken to another holding cell that had phones. Two questions: 1)What's the name of that hearing? 2)Why did I not have an attorney present, or at least someone to explain what was happening? I watch the news and see the same courtroom with attorney's representing the accused.
