My ex stole my dog. I adopted her while we were dating, her adoption paperwork is in my name ONLY. We have since broken up, and he took her without my permission and will not return her. One cop said it's theft of personal property, but suggested trying to deal with it directly with my ex first, then follow up if she wasn't returned. I followed up and the next cop I talked to said it's not theft of personal property because I adopted her while in the relationship with my ex, and the adoption paper doesn't matter even if my ex and I were never married so it's not a criminal issue. Is this true?

I am currently in the Military, expecting to get out in October, and moving from Washington (where I am currently stationed) to my home state (Arizona). Can I file for custody as soon as I am back in Arizona considering I am from there and it is still considered my home? Or do I have to file in Washington where he and I are currently stationed?

We have tenants that are not late on their rent(due April 1st). A swat team broke down the courtyard door and arrested both of the tenants 5 days ago for larceny. The charge has something to do with guns. The tenants are being extradited to CO in 8 days. Their 27 year old son is living in the house and is asking all the neighbors to lend him money to get his parents out. Our neighbors do not feel safe and are traumatized by what has happened. The tenants are on a "most wanted" list in CO. Can I evict them immediately because of criminal activity?

We gave our 30 day notice our last day was 3/31/13 but because of work and Holidays we couldn't move out till 4/3/13.When going back for our last thing the landlord said they moved it for us but had to take the legs off our table. When me and my husband went to look at the table we seen they had broken it. As well when we were getting our things we had notice an art set had been taken. The art set isn't worth much but they did just take it. Is there anything we can do or do we just have to bite the price of things?
