  • I owe $8,000.00 in state income tax from 1991. I retired in 2012 & have no income except social security. can they attach my payments?
  • I the home owner. I had a management co. The renter tried to fix stuff on his own. EX. tub faucet was taken off and the pipe was caped off with looks like a lotion top. Internal parts of toilet was removed and not replaced. Just to name a few. The never contacted the company to have them fixed. The CO is now telling me stuff I can't charge for the renter for failing to have them so the repairs. They are also telling me that a plumber costs to much & she has a handy man that can do the job instead of the plumber. She is also said doors that have dents can be patched instead of a new door.

Old management used to give me (at my request) a copy of my check with the stamp and /or signature of received. Deadline to pay the rent is the 3rd of each month. Now the new management refuses to hand me a receipt before the 4th of the month. My question is, where is the proof that I handed the check to them in time to avoid late fees? There lot of rumors among neighbors that they are trying to scare people out to renovate more units and raise the rent. What are my rights? Thank you.

  • In 2017 I was applying for apartments and an eviction came back, I was unable to rent because of this eviction. The eviction is ACTUALLY from 2014 but lists as 2017. Secondly, I served/hand delivered and signed and dated a notice to the front office for vacating the lease due to domestic violence with a copy of my court order. THE DAY AFTER we were SUPOSSEDLY to be in court for eviction. There was a notice posted on the door AFTER I left the residence for domestic violence, and I had NO IDEA of this until 2017. Can this be removed?? And how???
  • Hello, my lease explicitly states that 30 days notice prior to lease ending date is required if I wanted to move out after the lease is up. At the last second we just decided that we are going to move. What penalties would I be facing monetarily speaking for not giving my landlord 30 days notice. Today is October 30th 2017. My lease states that ends November 1st 2017. However in the lease agreement we agreed that rent would be due on the 5th each month. So technically I'm paid up through the 5th of November.
