QUESTIONS

  • I am a landlord and I have already given my tenant a notice to vacate my property in 30 days. I had also asked her for permission to enter the property so that I can show it to the prospective renters. I had sent a letter regarding this 7 days in advance. To this her reply was that no matter what I cannot enter my own property. What are my options?
  • My ex girlfriend and I just signed a lease this February, at the end of March she got into a bad car accident and had to recover at a rehab center and then continued at her parents. She broke up with me the beginning of May and took all her things out. She said she was coming back in two weeks but I don't think she is. She didn't pay her half of the rent of June. Can I sue her for her half because both of our names are on the lease?
  • Is it possible to force a will into probate as I can't get a copy of the will?
  • How long a landlord take to fix your a/c?
  • My landlord requires that all rv's or travel trailers pay four summer months up front in order to stay the summer. The rest of the year we pay month to month. The permanent large trailers do not have to do this. Is this legal?
  • Can a person still change their name if they have been convicted of a felony?
  • What can I do about may son harassing me because I had to get a protective order on my husband, his dad.
  • My mother lives in Phoenix and has Title 14 Guardianship of our 6 year old nephew. She wants to transfer it to us in Texas. The child's mother agrees with the plan and will give consent. I believe ARS 8-874 applies here. Where do we find the paperwork to motion for appointment of a successor and affidavit (assuming this is the correct path to take).
  • How does an inmate in county jail go about firing his court appointed public defender? The public defender hasn't been in touch with the defendant except during court appearences and defendant doesn't know what is going on except that trial starts in 19 days.
  • Signed a lease agreement a few weeks ago to an apartment sight unseen due to current resident. Today, my wife and i received keys to the new apt. Immediately found a roach infestation. In every room and every corner, black and german roaches coming out of the walls. Not one thing has been moved in yet and we were in the apt for about3 minutes. Can we legally terminate and/or nullify this lease pre move in, due to health concerns with our newborn? I have video of the roaches crawling everywhere.
