QUESTIONS

  • I receives a 7 day notice to pay my lot rent. I will pay it within the 7 days. However, I received a notice on a bright red paper taped to my door the past 2 days saying my account is deliquent and due immediately. Is it legal for them to do that after giving a 7 day notice in which the 7 days have not expired yet?
  • I am a condo owner, I live in the unit and rent out my 2nd bedroom to someone. We have a lease, and we have also been working under the agreement that we switch off paying for things that we share, for example paper towels, light bulbs in the common areas, etc. However, she is now refusing to purchase a new furnace filter, saying that is a 'maintenance item' and is my responsibility. I think this falls under the 'damages due to negligence' clause in the lease. I plan to take the cost of the filters out of her last month's rent and her lease-end date be moved up accordingly. Is that legal?

Can she do that? What are my rights? ?
  • I had my parental rights terminated in 2008 to my oldest son and to this day the judge is ordering me to pay monthly child support to my ex sister in law who only has gaurdianship of my son. I was recently incarcerated due to no payment. I don't understand why or how this is possible that I am not only having to pay monthly child support but my sons father doesn't have to pay anything.Dont get me wrong he's my son and my responsibility but I don't have any rights to him legally :(.
