My husband and I have bad credit so his father put our house in his name because his credit score is better than ours and we ended up with a great house payment. He hasn't paid anything for this house he hasn't never stayed the night in this house please tell me there is something I can do if he decides to sell house. When we found house we all sat down and had an verbal agreement this house is our. What should I do what are my rights? I feel that I may not have a lot of time can I stop him or have everything halted until someone can do an investigation.

I agreed to allow my son's father to change his last name. I signed the paperwork a full year ago, but he never processed it. Is there a statute of limitations on the petition I signed? My son was 20 months at the time and has since learned his full given name, so no longer wish to change his name

I own a 55+ senior Rv community. A person living in a park model passed away. Their relatives have been trying to sell it. They paid the yearly rent (which is at a substantial discount). Two months later they received an offer on their home and now want a refund or partial refund of the rent. Now I have several signs in the office that states there are no prorations or refunds on rent. They are telling me that it's against the law that I rerent the space once they leave unless they sign a release allowing me to do so. Am I able to rent the space once they leave without refunding them?

Is a landlord still allowed to charge you full amount of rent if needing to leave the home for more than 1/2 month to fix mold found in walls? I’ve heard that they can however they are responsible for providing you a place to live in while the repairs are being made is that true? Or can a tenant use some of the rent money to provide housing while property is being fixed if landlord refuses to pay for housing. Please help!!

My grown granddaughter borrowed almost $10,000 from me three years ago. In the last two years she has repaid $30. She has money to party and is planning a fancy wedding. I have started garnishment proceedings but that is getting expensive. I did receive a judgement against her but she is ignoring that. I really can't afford to keep paying out sums to the court, an attorney etc. Where can I receive advise? My taxes are very high but my home and car are all I own.
