  • What happens if you rent a house until foreclosure?
  • I just signed a one year lease For a small apartment, when I started to move things in and out of the apartment I noticed it smells like smoke so I tried to air it out but nothing is getting the smell of smoke out and it's really affecting my allergies, I cleaned the walls myself but it's still strong enough to affect me, I asked the landlord to have the apartment painted but he doesn't want to do that, is the landlord required to paint the apartment to get the smell of smoke off
  • What if somebody is harassing me and it is escalating to the point where he's trying to get me fired from my job? I tried to get an injunction against harassment, but the court turned me down. He, however, got an injunction against workplace harassment, and everything he told the court was a verifiable why. If I can't afford an attorney, what do I do when where do I turn? This person has done the same thing to multiple victims in multiple cities. He is also a scam artist with eight aliases. I can't find anyone to help me.

  • I work for a group home w/disabled adults. One of the clients received an I-Pad and the manager of the home wants us to sign a form that states if it ends up missing during your shift, the entire staff will be terminated. Is this even legal. I have not signed it as of yet.
  • i have a 5 month old. the father has isnt on the birth certificate, hasnt filed for rights or establishment of paternity through the courts or anything. he rarely sees the child and when he does its only when its convenient for him. and 98% of the time, he doesnt even claim the child as his own. for example: he tells me to have the real father pay for things. i do not know his current address and was curious about something. i am currently in a relationship with someone new. if i were to marry this person, could he legally adopt the my child? what would he have to do to legally adopt my child?

What are my rights to get the rest of her rent paid?
  • Been divorced for 4 years now. We have 50/50 shared custody. My 14 year old daughter is refusing to go back to her dads as he mentally abuses her. I can not force her to go. Will I be in contempt of court if she doesn't not go back to her dads? She has been seeing her school counselor and she knows all the mental abuse she has been going through. She even cuts herself over it. Please help.
