  • How long after a notice is given does tenant have before forcibly removed?
  • We hired a landscaper and gave $2750 deposit for work to begin on August 24th. After several canceled appointments and no shows landscaper agreed to refund deposit. We waited 10 days for refund check and received a post dated check for 30 days into the future. What is our best course of action to get back our money. The company will not return calls or emails and we are worried they will stop payment or close account before we can cash the check
  • My son wants me to help him with custody of his baby under a year old and unborn baby. He is not married to the mother. He is on the birth certificate of the first born.The reason he is asking me to help is he has a long history of being in trouble with the law and is currentl on adult probabtion. The mother is threating to move out of state with the kids, so my son wants to know his rights andif he has any from preventing that

The physical transaction occurred in Maricopa County, however the negotiations occurred over the internet. Can I file the claim in Maricopa County small claims court and have him served in Pinal County, or do I have to file in the county where he lives?
  • My best friend is having issues with her husband. He drinks every day to the point of total intoxication. He is verbally abusive and demeaning to her. He has pushed her, head butted her and told her that he “should beat her ass”. He has maxed out her credit cards and does everything he can to financially entrap her. They have 2 children 13 and 15. She is afraid to leave the kids with him because of his drinking and because he is not dependable. My friend wants to leave but due to the financial position he continues to put her in, she cannot afford to get out. Is this considered DV? Options?
  • We moved out 12 days before end of lease and had inspection we were present for and she said it looked great and posted a new rent sign. Just got our deposit back and the charged us $260 for cleaning which we had done and $530 for repairs they had done such as changing bulbs and cleaning the outside of the grill. Is this legal. Shouldn't we have been notified so we could have seen these things and possibly addressed them ourselves. We still had time left in the lease and they had traffic going through for showings. We left the house perfect.
  • I am a stepparent. My husband's ex indicated that I can not sign permission slips for the kids to attend school field trips. I checked with the district and they said I could as long as my husband agreed. I always send a copy of the permission slip to his ex (she has never provided the same courtesy to my husband). I want to do what is right and legal. May I continue to sign permissions slips and pay for field trips or must my husband sign these slips?
  • My Landlord has started Eviction proceedings and has become quite vicious about the whole issue. I do not dispute the fact that I am late with the rent. (Serious Medical Issues arose) and have been attempting to make arrangements for the arrears and current amounts due. He is refusing to discuss that option.
