Three roommates and I rent a home. Owner lives out of the country and when in town he enters without warning. Last time he stayed 3 months and pressured me into moving out of the master bedroom so he could use it. I pay my rent and it was a huge problem moving all my furniture and belongings downstairs to a tiny bedroom. He uses our wireless internet and pays nothing toward utilities. I live in constant fear he can return and disrupt our lives again. Can an owner enter with no warning and live in home. Can he force me to vacate master room again. He implied I would be given notice if I didn't.

We are preparing to sign a lease. The home was marketed as having a 'large fenced yard for kids and pets." Upon inspection, this 'fenced yard' has one full side of a metal fence completely fallen over, with metal sticking up, posing a safety hazard and not "fenced" for our dogs to be able to safely access the yard. The property mgmt. company said that they're aware of this, but the owner wants to focus on working on the house and not fence at this time. She said we can do something temporary (at our own expense) in the meantime, and possibly discuss this again in the future. Is this legal?

Our parents passed away two months ago and in their Will they appointed me guardian of my fourteen year old, half sister. Her grandparents don't like me and want to gain custody of her. Their son always said he never wants them to have my sister because of how he was raised. Our parent's assets are split between us so I will be able to take care of her until she comes of age to get her half. Please help. I can't get through this hard time without her with me.

I've been working for an individual for 7 years off and on. In order to get my invoices paid, we have an agreement (verbal) that I scrap some of his stuff and apply it to the invoice, been doing just that for over 3 years now. Last week I scraped some Stainless boxes and applied the monies to my running invoice, just like I've been doing for years. Now he's accusing me of stealing from him and is threating to have me arrested for stealing his stuffs. What should I do about this ? I've never been arrested and don't want to start now at my age. I didn't take his stuff with any intent.
