When the offender is escorted by law enforcement to pick up his belongings from a shared residence. Is it a law that the officer stay present at ALL time as protection?

Our family is relocting to another state. Our 16 year old daughter is not wanting to go and says "she refuses." We are an average American family and never had a problem with our daughter. She does well in school and my wife and I have always held very good jobs. What are her rights as a minor and ours as parents. She is claiming that if she runs away, she legally cannot be "forced" to go home.

I have a defiant 17 year old daughter who is violent and verbally abusive. She has even damaged our home by punching holes in the doors and is using drugs. She will not follow any of our rules and basically comes and goes as she pleases. She turns 18 in 5 months, but will not graduate high school until May of next year. Are we still responsible for her until she graduates, or do our responsibilities end once she turns 18? She is causing turmoil and fear within our home and we just don't know what our rights are.

My mother had quad bypass surgery 10/07. Upon coming home from the hospital we needed a caregiver to help my mom take her meds go to the bathroom , feed herself , bathe herself etc. After 90 days my mothers LTC kicked in. We filed a claim with Humana , which is the provider that administers her medicare , on 04/20/07. We called a couple of weeks later and were told it takes 30 days to process. We then called the end of May and were told they have it but to wait another 30 days. We called at the end of June and were now told it was in the wrong dept but it would now be expedited. I called mid July spoke to a "manager " Joe Clark who said it was still in the worng dept but he wopuld expedite it and call me back in 1-2 days. NO CALL 10 days later I call and speak to Stephanie, and she tells me her sup. will call me back NO CALL. i call 5 days later speak to Woodley , he tells me he has no idea about the delay but will rush it. I call at the end of July speak to yet another manager who tells me they "changed" vendors and need me to refax the entire claim. She asks me what the claim is about I tell her and she tells me that what I described to her is really more "housekeeping" work and not covered. KEEP IN MIND she hasn't even reviewed the claim. I am now approaching 4 months since we first submitted this and I am at wits end. What are my options to get this expedited one way or another

How do I change a custody agreement so that I now have full custody as my ex-husband is no longer fit to have full custody? I had issues with depression and alcohol so he has full custody now and I’m supposed to just have supervised visits but we are reconciling and live together with the kids. I have since turned myself around completely and am sober and managing my depression. He is unfortunately in a constant state of relapse currently and repeatedly being taken to a hospital or treatment facility. He is the one working and making money but I take care of the kids 24/7.

I am a cashier and stand for 8 hours. Have severe leg and back pain. My doctor filled out the form to reduce my hours to 20 and no more than 6 hour shifts. For the FMLA do I have to be employed for 12 months for just a reduction in hours. Need to know before I submit form.

Can a landlord keep any of your property when you've been evicted

I have a emotional support dog and pets are allowed in my apartment. My landlord charged me the pet deposit, I showed the landlord my pets registration card. The would not accept that and wanted a letter. I told them I would get the letter. Then I paid my rent for the following rent, 4 days letter they refused to accept my rent payment because it did not include the pet deposit. The started a 5 day eviction notice. Can they evict me on those grounds?

Our divorce was granted 09/26/06. As part of the agreement, I was supposed to pay my husband $35,000 to buy him out of a rental house we co-own with my parents. He refuses to take the money and I am at a loss as to what to do. He now says he wants the house, but has done nothing to procure financing to buy out me and my parents. Do I go to court and petition them to enforce the court order or do I sue him for non-compliance? The property agreement was "not-merged" and I have been advised to sue. How do I do that?
