  • 3 days ago I signed a year long lease. Now, 3 days after singing, the rent price has dropped substantially due to Covid19. I am also being cut back on hours drastically at work. I am wondering if i have any rights for them to honor the current rent price or if I have any rights due to extreme financial crisis. Since I can’t work, I can’t get paid or pay my rent. My lease has a statement of Force Majeure but it seems that’s only beneficial for the landlord. Any options as to how I legally not be in trouble for missed payments or termination of lease?

  • Hello I own my Mobile home with a clean title but rent the space. I have been in the same park for four years. I am under a written month to month rental agreement that I signed in November of 2016. There is no expiration date on the rental agreement nor has it been terminated. New management has taken over and are treating all tenants as holdover. Since a month to month tenancy is self renewing, doesn't new management have to terminate the existing rental agreement before I am considered a holdover tenant? Further, they have issued a 14/30 cure quit notice on the demand to sign a lease.

  • Due to the Covid19, my business has taken a hit. That meant no money was coming in to pay Payroll. From Feb-May, I've been living off credit cards. I have made a partial rent payment for April and May 2020. I came home yesterday to an eviction notice. The property owner knows of my business & financial situation. I was told that as long as I was making a partial payment towards rent, that by law I couldn't be evicted (with intent to pay in full ASAP) My company was just awarded the PPP LOAN, which I advised my property owner the very next day that all past portion of rents would be paid asap
  • Have Lived at the same complex for the past 3 years. The complex has new owners for the past several months. Old management used to give me (at my request) a copy of my check with the stamp and /or signature of received. Deadline to pay the rent is the 3rd of each month. Now the new management refuses to hand me a receipt before the 4th of the month. My question is, where is the proof that I handed the check to them in time to avoid late fees? There lot of rumors among neighbors that they are trying to scare people out to renovate more units and raise the rent. What are my rights? Thank you.
  • My father is on his death bed in bullhead city. All past wills have included #1 I want to be buried in the nearest VA cemetary. His current wife of 3 years has paid for a cremation. She has a new will and will not produce it to any of 3 children. She has power of atty. We also believe she requested he be taken off cardiac meds when going into hospice, and believe this was negligent?? When does she need to produce a will?? Please help
  • Over the past few months my apartment has been having serious plumbing issues. I have sewage coming up into my tub and when it is really backed up I cannot even flush the toilet. I am also unable to use my washer or shower due to the backup. My landlord who rents two apartments is taking his time handling the problem and refuses to use professionals to make the repairs and refuses to rent us a hotel. I read that the next step is to call the health department. Would that only make the problem worse. Is my landlord able to evict me in retaliation. My lease is good up to January.
  • What parental rights do I have as a non-custodial parent. The custodial parent refuses to inform of medical conditions, medical and dental visits, school functions (states I am forbidden to attend), parent-teacher conferences, open house at school, basically he believes I am not permitted to have any form of contact outside my ordered visitation time - Saturdays 7am - 6pm?
