I have been contacted by a collection agency for a debt owed. The amount owed is $226, they say they will only accept payment in full, or 2 payments of $114.33. My question is this, if I am willing to pay this, but can only make small weekly payments, are they required to accept them? What do I do if they refuse my payments that I am able to make.

I made a personal loan of 20k to a friend that was due October 30, 2012. It is in writing. He lives in Flagstaff,AZ, and I live in Hawthorne, CA. He says he wants to pay me back, but cant afford it. I want my money. He may have filed bankruptcy in Flagstaff and that is what I am trying to find out. I as a creditor was never notified if he did. Can I for free find out if he filed sometime from 2008-present??? I want to recover my money, and hoping bankruptcy law will not get in the way. Thanks!

I currently have joint custody of my children in which I have them 50% of the time. My ex-wife and I do not agree on which schools our children should attend, and our paperwork states that neither of us can make the final decision. An attorney had told me that if we have tried mediation with conciliation services (which we have tried), then the next step would be to file a motion for school determination. My question is: how do you go about doing that? I do not see forms that seem to pertain to this. Thanks!

I also found out that one of the other units had bed bugs less then a year ago.. shouldn't they have to pay or have someone check all the other units???
