I'm moving at the end of my lease this month. I've asked Management for a walk-through with me on the last day to ensure I've met all the cleaning expectations in order to get my deposit back. Management says it isn't necessary since they think I keep a clean place. My concern is that after I'm gone, trumped up "repairs" will be noted on my account and they will keep my deposit. They've not been the most ethical and business-like over the past year. What are my rights?

Hi, I have a few questions. I have a landlord that recently told me the rent was going up by 200 dollars with about a 2 week notice via text message. Is that legal? Also, I had told her I was having an issue with foul odors coming from the hall restroom and requested her send a plumber or her handyman. This problem has been brought up to her previously as well and no action was taken on her part. She actually got upset with me at the request. She then by text again said she should have raised my rent to 1250 if she knew I was going to "complain". We also are having ac problems . Please help

I am currently renting a home in Tucson that has a Swamp Cooler. The swamp cooler has not been keeping the house cool. The temperature reaches between 88-91 degrees inside even with many fans throughout house. The landlord has failed to offer any way of cooling down the house. If we want an AC unit in the windows we must pay for it. He has neglected to fix things because we pay "cheap rent for the neighborhood we're in." Is the landlord legally responsible for providing livable conditions such as accurate cooling?

I DROVE my car to a shop. It had made a noise. Gave key to owner. He told mechanic to drive me to work in my car. He did not. He drove the other way. He drove for a couple of blocks then floored the gas. 50 - 60 ft the engine was grinding. He broke the timing belt and destroyed the engine. The owner refused to pay. I contacted att gen office. Have heard nothing. (Appr. 4 weeks). Now owner called and told me to remove or he will tow as abandoned. I had to use retirement fund for rentals and another car. If i remove vehicle, is he removed from responsibility?
