  • we got pulled over my boyfriend had a warrant. He was driving my truck. The police got in and moved my truck to public land it was on private property..So they could impound it. Was that legal they did not ask me if they could move my truck. Should they of left truck where it was?
  • In 2017 I was applying for apartments and an eviction came back, I was unable to rent because of this eviction. The eviction is ACTUALLY from 2014 but lists as 2017. Secondly, I served/hand delivered and signed and dated a notice to the front office for vacating the lease due to domestic violence with a copy of my court order. THE DAY AFTER we were SUPOSSEDLY to be in court for eviction. There was a notice posted on the door AFTER I left the residence for domestic violence, and I had NO IDEA of this until 2017. Can this be removed?? And how???

The property manager said it would take a week to do repairs. He will not change the move in date, which will cost me $300 for a week I am not there. My property management company rented me a commercial facility that was no where near up to code, five years ago. The company is now trying to force me to bring the building up to code(needs electrical, new roof, etc.) none of that was up to code when I rented it. It’s been five years of the building not being up to code, now that I’m in my last 4 months of my lease they’re pulling this. Just need advice.
  • Who does a landlord get reported to if they fail to issue security deposits within 14 days?
  • My roommate flaked out on me and I need to pay a termination fee for the apartment. We are both signed on the lease but I need to know if my roommate is also responsible to split the termination fee and if so, what if my roommate refuses? Will she be responsible for paying her part? The termination fee is four months of rent and I am able to pay two (half) of the overall fee. My landlords said if she won't pay her part, it will be sent to collections and they will also require me to pay the remaining balance if she doesn't.
  • My son is 5 years old. I have sole custody. I read the self service paperwork and it says I have to notify the other parent or show "order terminating parental rights of the other parent." Is my divorce decree showing sole custody good enough? I know sole custody gives me the right to make decisions for my children even if my ex does not agree.
  • I just moved into a house that i am renting. I received my first gas and water bill witch were outrageous prices. After calling the water and gas company we discovered that there was a leak under the house. They discovered that the remodel was done improperly breaking on of the pipes. He fixed the issue in a matter of days. But i feel that i should not have to pay the water or gas bill. He is refusing to pay them. Is there anything I can do?
