  • 86 y/o widow had a will and trust set up as a single woman 3 years ago. Last year the man she lives with had a will drawn up stating that he is married to the widow. Her will & trust have not been updated and no one in the family has seen any legal document that shows they are married. She has stock, a house & and money...he has very little. She is being treated for dementia but family does not know if she is truly competent to have married this man. If she dies will her will & trust be valid as is or not? Can he contest her will and claim community property?
  • My husband and I are renting a mobile home space. The mobile home mortgage lien holder is telling us we have to vacate if the mortgage is not paid. The purchaser of the mortgage is past due. We have no responsibility over the mortgage only the space rental. How are we able to get out of the rental space contract if we have to vacate under these circumstances? The purchaser is not in communication with the lien holder and has not made any response. We have been in good credit with the space rental/landowner payments to date.
  • My niece used her grandfather's SSN and DOB and baby's SSN and DOB to obtain loans from a payday loan place online. She did not repay the loans and they went to collections. The collection agency called her grandfather to collect. In order for the debt to be deleted from her grandfather, he had to file a police report.   • One of my creditors has chosen to sue me to collect a debt. Supposedly a judgement was issued against me, but the paperwork was so confusing, I could not understand it. I do not own a home or a car and my only income is Social Security. The letter from the agency selected by the credit card company says there are various means they can use to collect. My question is, what CAN they do to me? A call to the agency got me nowhere. I am also the sole caregiver for my handicapped mother.
