The mother left me off of the birth certificate and now I would like to petition for a paternity test and look into getting parenting time. I was wondering what documents I would need to file at the court and if a trial, where she and I were both in a courtroom in front of a judge, was imminent, or if the court would bring us both in to a judge in an office to discuss things. If we were brought into an office would lawyers be allowed or strictly she and I? Also, what if I file a parenting time petition and the mother does not agree to it? Could the judge agree to it without her consent or?

We have lived in a rental since 2009. Two years ago, the house was sold to a new owner and now we have a property management company that we talk to. (Prior was family friend owner). There is a large Tree in the back yard, over 30 ft tall, that has been maintained by the previous owner personally and by some people the property management sent over three different times since taking over the property. Due to a recent storm, the tree has broken branches 20 + feet in the air. The property management company was notified and have told me its my responsibilty. Is this true or not?

I am renting a house with my family of 4. Our landlord is selling the house, and they told us they are going to put a lockbox on the house for showings. 1. Do we have a right to reject this for safety? 2. We need to provide "reasonable" access. How many showings a week would be reasonable? We want to tell them we will only allow X amount of showings per week. What would this number roughly be?

Now that I have filed for child support, will the other parent get any rights to be around my kids, even though I have a restraining order still in place since last year?

I have 3 children. They live with their mother in Arizona. I live overseas (with military wife). Our next base is in Japan. My childrens mother and I agreed to let the kids come with my wife and I to Japan for 4 years. I have joint custody of my kids. But they live with their mother full time. Do we just need a court order stating they will come with us and their mother agrees? Or do we need to change custody? please help.

my husband left me and my children, he is the father of our 6 yo daughter. He has been gone almost 2 months, and has not helped out financially at all. My question is, in the event of my death or incapacities, how do I grant my parents legal custody of my daughter. I am wondering if I can type a letter and have it notarized since we have not started divorce proceedings at this point in time. I just want to make sure my parents get my children in case of tragedy.
