QUESTIONS

  • Do state minimum disclosure laws ARS 25-403 require a written request for discovery. e.g. 2yrs. Tax return. Paystubs with ytd etc
  • I have submitted notice on 7/28/17 that we would be non-renewing our lease and it would end, as stated in our lease, on 9/12/17. This provided excess of 30 days notice as required. They did not respond until today, 8/7/17. When we moved in, our rent for Sept '16 (9/13 - 9/30) was prorated. In our notice, I stated we would be paying the pro-rated amount of our rent due on 9/1 for the 12 days we will be occupying the apartment. The management let us know that our lease will end on 9/12, but we are responsible for the entire month of Sept. rent. I am unsure. I have communicated with them by e-mail because I wanted to document it.
  • My son has an 18 year old daughter but is not listed on the birth certificate. He volunteered to pay child support and longer does as his daughter is over 18. His daughter now wants to have his name on the birth certificate to claim her Native American heritage. Both are in agreement. What is the court process as I was told there isn't a form and to contact legal services. Thank you.
  • My fiancĂ© and I are in a month to month lease. On 8-26-16 a guest of ours that was visiting the state was accused of crime on property. The next day the landlord stated we had to leave that day or we could pay for next month's rent and be evicted afterwards. They stated a eviction would show on credit affectively making it nearly impossible to rent anywhere else. On the rental agreement there was no notice stating we needed to advise them if we had a guest staying longer than 14 days and he has not been formally charged. What options do I have.
  • My family just moved out of a rental house where we lived for 5 years. In the original lease, and verbally ever since then (even in March of this year) the landlord said we would not have to pay for the condition of the carpeting when we moved out because he was going to replace it. The carpet was not damaged, but needed deep cleaning. Now the landlord says we owe $400 over and above our security deposit. He lists $500 for carpet cleaning. Can he do this? What can we do? Thanks
  • My son passed away June 17, 2016, he was 32 years old. He had never married and had no children. His only asset is a checking account at our local credit union. He had no co owner on the account and did not set up a beneficary. We believe there is under $2000 in the account and would like to close it out and just donate the funds. Since he had no Will and we do not have the money to open probate, is there any other option for us?

How do I get the guardianship removed and getr my custody of the children. The judge already said i had it i just had to do those things and I have.
  • My apartment complex has altered the equipment in the shower so that it lowers the water usage and the tenant had no say in this matter. Can they do this when the tenant signed a lease with the expectation of the existing shower?
  • I am a Utah native and moved to Arizona about 2 years ago. I got married in AZ in October 2014. I recently have moved back to Utah in January and want to get my marriage annulled and my husband still lives in az. Do I file for annulment in UT or az? It is an az marriage license.
