  • We were just informed by the landlord's property manager a week ago that the landlord is placing the house we rent up for sale but our lease will still be honored. We are into our lease now 5 months. The lease does not expire until Feb. 28,2020. We have requested from the property manager that we would like to terminate our lease and commit to a month to month status with the understanding that we as well as the landlord can provide a 30 day notice to vacate. We have found a home we wish to purchase and do not to be held to commitment now that they are selling the house. Please advise. CW

Also, I have an srp box that I load money on for electricity. I use $45 a month. I've already spent $100 in less than 2 wks in electricity cause manager said fans have to stay on 24hrs and it's my responsibility to keep electricity on or they will get lawyers involved. I can afford to keep putting electricity. I've been out of my home almost 2 weeks. Please help.

  • I have recently reviewed our finances and determined that we can no longer afford our home. We are not late and have not missed any payments. I have come in contact with a law office based in CA that offers loan modification, short sale, and deed in lieu services. If we opt to pay someone to negotiate for a loan modification with our lender am I less likely to fall victim to scam with a law office?
  • My ex-girlfriend that lives in Colorado is claiming that I am the father of her 4yr old and asking for money. If he is mine want to give her money for the child but I also want to be able to see him. He was born in Texas and my name is not on the birth certificate. Can I file for a paternity test here in Arizona where I live? Or do I have to file for one in Colorado where the baby and mother live? Or do I have to file for the paternity test in Texas where the child was born?
  • I am a resident of California on SSDI, Medi-Cal and Medi-Care. I may move my residence to Flagstaff Arizona. Will I be elegable for medical insurance AHCCCS once I have declared residency in Arizona? What are the income limitations to qualify for AHCCCS?
  • While I was out of town, my apartment had a sewage backup, and subsequent mold infestation. Tenant was notified of the uninhabitable condition on Dec 11, met me at the property on Dec16, and offered to replace carpeting with tile. I provided written notice of uninhabitable condition on Dec 16 as well. I'd like to know several things: 1) do I have a right to demand mold inspection and remediation? 2) landlord has suspended rent as of 16th, but am I entitled to storage, moving, and/or living expenses while repairs are being completed?

They have renovated the community entirely as well as apartments when people move out, they have requested me to vacate when my lease is up, or stay on for double my rent.
