QUESTIONS

  • We moved out 12 days before end of lease and had inspection we were present for and she said it looked great and posted a new rent sign. Just got our deposit back and the charged us $260 for cleaning which we had done and $530 for repairs they had done such as changing bulbs and cleaning the outside of the grill. Is this legal. Shouldn't we have been notified so we could have seen these things and possibly addressed them ourselves. We still had time left in the lease and they had traffic going through for showings. We left the house perfect.
  • I made a mistake on the father of my son. This mans name in on the BC. He has nothing to do with my son. I had the real father take a DNA test and and even with the results, he wants nothing to do with my son. Can I just have his last name changed to mine? I do not want him to go threw life with the wrong last name or with a mans name that does not want anything to do with him. I hate for him to pay for my mistakes

  • My Park charged me a $5 per day late fee on unpaid late fees. Is this legal in Arizona? The park applies any payment made to the amount due, thus guaranteeing that any payment made that is less than the entire amount owed will be subject to late fees for the entire time additional money is owed. I believe there are laws preventing that practice for mortgages but I'm unsure about rentals or leases. Shouldn't payments first be applied toward the monthly rent or lease and then any additional payment be applied to late fees? And isn't it illegal to charge interest or fees on late fees?

They have tried talking to the neighbors but they said that they had a verbal agreements with the neighbor before them to borrow that extra piece of land so they are not going to give it up, since then my parents have paid 2 more times to get it surveyed & they keep moving the flags. Can they sue them for the tax and use of the property as well as the extra surveys for all the 13 years they have paid?
