I was involved in a very minor collision resulting in minimal vehicle damage & no bodily harm. Accident occurred on a private parking lot which cops would not respond to so there is no reports or documentation of either parties accounts an recollection leading up to accident. Insurance information was exchanged and both parties drove away upon learning no police report would be taken. Months following were an unstable time for me and incident slipped my mind. Until this week even I received a collection letter which to the best of my knowledge is a subrogation notice. With my brief research on this, it's my understanding that I've been deemed at fault. And the insurer of other party has issued a payment covering their damage. Which they are now seeking reimbursement through me. Can I dispute or appeal an how is this done? I firmly believe that the fault is that of the other driver or at least not solely of my own, based on design and layout of parkway's as well as location of impact and damage indicated on both vehicles.

my daughter 16 was involved in a bad car accident the 18 yr old driver had no insurance, a lawyer told me we could not sue the individual or we would loose the uninsured claim on my own insurance. He almost killed my daughter: and we have thousands in medical bills, and we don't even know what punishment he recieved my coverage i had will not pay all the bills what about my daughters pain and suffering? she has permanent injuries she will have for life. why do i have to pay for his mistake? she is the victim why are we not being notified about any court proceedings? who do i need to contact?

My ex-boyfriend was arrested in 2014 & sentenced to 4.5 year. I ended the relationship shortly afterward for many reasons including physical & mental abuse. He threatened me if I ever left him & tried to kill me twice. After his arrest, I became homeless & all of our belongings were lost. I have since met someone else & have gotten married. I wrote my ex in prison to let him know his belongings were gone & that I had gotten married & not to come looking for me or his things upon his release. I am afraid he will come after me.Is it possible to get an Order of Protection prior to his release?

Can child support be reinstated after the age of 18 if the child is disabled and cannot work? We are currently applying for disability for her, but it has not been established yet. In the meantime, medical bills are piling up.

Am I legally able to move out of state with my son, if the father is on the birth certificate? He has been active in our sons life as well as paying for his needs. If an order of protection is obtained, and an appeal was rejected. In the even the order is then modified and granted with the modification, does the order of protection get extended? For example: original order granted 11/12/2015, but was modified and granted 2/2/2016 is the new date 2/2/2016 or does remain the date of the original service?

My daughter only has power of attorney for legal matters. Can she file for bankruptcy for me? What are my options when I can't pay?

I let a person that wanted to buy my motorcycle test ride around the condo complex.. He wrecked it , doing 2,000 damage.. At first he wanted to pay for it now refuses to even pay my deductable .. can I fight this in small claims court without having to turn it into my insurance..
