QUESTIONS

  • We live in a senior residence (my partner is 58) and they have a "chiller" system, in addition, they pay all utilities. Tonight (at approximately 9:30pm) we returned to our 2nd floor apartment which had risen to 80 degrees F (from 75). We both suffer from allergies which makes opening windows problematic (I have an inhaler as well) as well as hypertension. My blood pressure elevated from the hot temperature. I know at some point they change from an A/C based system to a heating system. What are our rights in this situation?

He now lives independently in an apartment. His primary care doctor feels it is no longer safe for him to live alone.   • Three roommates and I rent a home. Owner lives out of the country and when in town he enters without warning. Last time he stayed 3 months and pressured me into moving out of the master bedroom so he could use it. I pay my rent and it was a huge problem moving all my furniture and belongings downstairs to a tiny bedroom. He uses our wireless internet and pays nothing toward utilities. I live in constant fear he can return and disrupt our lives again. Can an owner enter with no warning and live in home.Can he force me to vacate master room again. He implied I would be given notice if I didn't.
  • I am not sure if this is the correct category but. Here it goes. I moved into a house with a shared well for 5 properties. One house is not built still. When w moved in we were paying into the well fund. We wanted to see the account and they refused so we stopped paying. We asked the neighbors and they said not to because no one was and when the current well fund was gone we would start a new one. The other three houses lived there for 3 years before us. When the now well fund was started they said we owed back payments for 30 months at 50 a month. I did pay 800 of it
  • Is my landlord to the mobile home park in which I live responsible to pay for extermination of a severe cockroach infestation in my rental?
  • I just had a baby and an ex-boyfriend who is not the father of my baby is taking me for paternity test. Do I have to pay court fees every time someone wants to claim to be the father of my child. I was not even with him at the time and the father of my baby is on birth certificate and the baby has the fathers last name. Question is why do I have to pay court fees to respond, it's like anyone can petion to be the father and I have to pay court fees when I alresdy know who father is
  • Does a 20ft x 20ft area of sand filled with animal waste that is potent enough to be smelled 100 ft away count as a violation of implied warranty of habitability? The lease we signed said that we were responsible for the yard after 30 days but the smell is so strong we couldn't figure out where it was coming from until a few days after that time frame.
