My brother is paying his ex gf child support for two daughters. One turned 18 years old and moved out of the mother's home. Does my brother still pay the child support even though his 18 year old daughter isn't living with her mother?

My husband has a child from a previous relationship. We aren't positive that the child is actually his. He is a resident of Arizona, the mother lives in Washington state along with the child. My question is this, which state , Arizona or Washington, would have jurisdiction to decide Child Support payments and establishing paternity?

My husband's divorce was finalized in AZ. The 1998 divorce Parenting Plan had a clause saying "Both parties agree to designate the child as their sold beneficiary on all life insurance policies and as the sole beneficiary of their respective estates. In the event either party remarries, the remarried party agrees to maintain the child as a beneficiary of at least 50% of their life insurance policy and estate." He just passed and his now 24 old, married, not living at home, not disabled, daughter is informally contesting his will. I know he believed this was not longer valid, I need to confirm.

I am not married to my daughters father, we recently split due to domestic violence. I am talking with him and his lawyer to get a resolution before our temporary orders hearing. The only term we are not agreeing on is that I want to stipulate that my daughter and I can relocate to Colorado in a year. His attorney keeps saying the courts will not accept that even if we come to an agreement on everything else before our court date. I spoke to an attorney who told me the opposite. How do I word this to his attorney or is his attorney right?

We were sent to court for monies owed to an apartment compex. The judgement was against us. They were awarded the full amount, prejudgement interest, courtcosts, and attourney's fees. We made payment arrangements to prevent garnishment. now they are charging us interest on our payments but they were not awarded postjudgement interest. Are they allowed to do this? Is there anything that we can do if they shouldnt be charging us this extra money??

I am a married man with a 4 year old daughter. Two years ago my wife and I were temp seperated. I had a one nite stand with a woman who told me she couldn't get pregnant. Two years later I get paternity papers and am orderd to pay $900 a month in child support current with $25 rearage included. That leaves me Just $1100 a month to take care of my wife and daughter. The deduction for her is more than my daughter in my marriage. Do I have any avenues for getting this modified at all?
