QUESTIONS

  • My fridge was broken upon move-in. My landlord says I am required to be home to let repair people in, but I am not able to. Is it the responsibility of the landlord to make sure someone's at the property to allow repairs?
  • Landlord took 45 days to fix mold and pipe repair. Landlord has taken 50+ days to fix a broken microwave. I have not been able to bill clients when I am at the house waiting for contractors. I have calculated almost 40 hours of time acting as her "Property Manager". What can I do?
  • What do I do if I have received a death threat in my phone's voicemail?
  • I get my social security check on acard and put my bill money in my checking account and i got sick and can't make payments on my credits cardscan they get my bill money out of my checking account
  • My ex relocated to AZ. I have never left CA. She is trying to get permission to modify our custody agreement in AZ, document says if one party lives in another state and never left AZ may not have power to change. Please inform me of where that rule is and how to cite it in a court document. Thank you
  • When can I give my 30 day notice if I'm on a month to month agreement?
  • I stay at an rv park that charges a flat rate for daily space, weekly spaces and monthly spaces. I have no lease. I wasn't given any paperwork or rules of any sort when I parked my fifth wheel. All I was told was their is a flat monthly rate 223.00 and electric is a pay as you use type of deal. Their is no paperwork what so ever. The prices are flate rates for the however long your staying is and it's seriously posted on a sign outside the office. What are my rights and can they evict me and charge me late fees because I haven't been able to pay for this month yet due to this pandemic?
  • What is the acceptable temperature for an air conditioning unit to be set at a rental?
  • I am the father of an 8 year old daughter born out of wedlock. No legal paternity has ever been established, but I've maintained a close relationship with my daughter all along as well as paid child support from day one. I would like to begin the process of obtaining legal joint (if possible) custody of my daughter ahead of fears my ex may try to relocate again (already moved from to CO to AZ). I believe I will need to establish legal paternity which is no problem as I am on the birth certificate and my ex will agree, as well as establishing permenant visitation rights and also the ability to bar her from moving again. Is there a step by step process available online to set this into motion? I am unable to afford an attorney, but might be able to afford a paralegal? Please advise.
  • My roommate flaked out on me and I need to pay a termination fee for the apartment. We are both signed on the lease but I need to know if my roommate is also responsible to split the termination fee and if so, what if my roommate refuses? Will she be responsible for paying her part? The termination fee is four months of rent and I am able to pay two (half) of the overall fee. My landlords said if she won't pay her part, it will be sent to collections and they will also require me to pay the remaining balance if she doesn't.
