  • Moved into renovated home was to be done by 6/18 (day moved in). Upon arrival; 2 baseball size holes in 2 windows & piles of trash under carport. Due to incorrect measurements windows would be another week. Week1 dryer vent had to be re-cut, electrician rewired house due to fire hazard. Week2 plumbing unable to do laundry 2weeks now, family has to share 1 bathroom, windows not replaced. Week3 windows replaced 7/1–7/6, plumbing on hold to find better price (laundry?), & still sharing bathroom. Was given 1 months free rent but asking us to pay full electricity bill. What are her obligations?

  • I don't know if you can help us or maybe direct us to someone who can. KayKay Properties took over as managers of our apartment building. This is not an assisted living facility, but regular low income senior apartments. I am one of the original tenant and the other original tenants and we have gone through several managers. But this company has come in and is trying to dictate to us, change rules that make so sense and threaten with evictions. We have been told that none of our grandchildren under the age of 18 can spend the night with us anymore, if they do, we will be evicted. If someone is on medical marijuana they can't smoke it in their apartment, they have to leave the building and smoke in the parking lot. If they smoke in the building they will be evicted. We can't go to check out mail in our robes, if we do we will be evicted. They will spray for roaches, but we have to count the number of dead ones, and if they have to spray again we have to pay for it. If we don't pay for the exterminator, we will be evicted. If any of us are ill and need family or friends to help us, we have to let management know who they are, where they work and how much they make, if not...you guessed it, we will be evicted.   • Is a landlord required to provide you a copy of a move-out inspection list? I was provided one at the Move-In Inspection which I filled out. Now I just had the Move-Out Inspection and wasn't provided anything. what gives?
  • Can a landlord evict because they not animal control or law enforcement deemed your dogs aggressive? There have been no noise or aggressive/ vicious dog complaints filed with animal control but now suddenly we were told get rid of the dogs or be evicted. And the property manager has lied about complaints from the other tenants and about one of my dogs getting out and chasing her boy friend on a day I was home all day with my dogs so I know for a fact none of them got out of my yard and she never mentioned it to my husband who works for her or me.   • I recently was Evicted from my apartment and locked out by the constable. Unfortunately I was unable to remove all of my belonging and was told I need to return make arrangements with the landlord to get the rest of my things. When I returned i was told that someone must have stolen my things. What do I do? I made a police report, But the property management told me they will not replace any of my things . Can anyone tell me what rights I have and what I should do thank you any help is much appreciated .
  • How do you prove neglect? my husband and myself are trying to get custody of his 9 year old son. He is the second oldest of 5 children. My husband was never married to this woman. We feel that she has not created a safe environment for him, let alone the rest of her children. How do I start the process?
  • A recent partial flood due to a roof leak caused by pigeon feces and nesting on the roof. Birds were also living in the attic. Sewer roaches also infested the attic drawn to waste and moisture present in the attic. With hazardous exposure and health concerns, is this the responsibility of the owner? They are communicating I should have recognized or smelled the nesting and feces and reported it before the problem developed. I requested they order an air quality test due to my asthmatic children and my concern of something in the air about a year ago. They have no record of it?
