QUESTIONS

  • I live in a mobile home park and own the trailer, not the lot, and our landlord is saying that we have thirty days to show proof of insurance otherwise we'll get evicted. My question is can she legally force us to get insured when almost all insuranfr companies wont even touch trailers?
  • My son asked to move his camper to my home. I adamantly told him NO. He knocked on my door 3 days ago and had moved it on my property while I was sleeping. He is not allowed on my property anyway due to his drug use. Now I have people in on out of his trailer buying dope. I don't know what to do to make him leave! Do I call the police or do I have to file an eviction notice on him? I am afraid of him as he has threatened both my life and to burn down my house if I didn't let him park it! I reported the threats to the police the week before when I told him no. Desperate

He doesnt provide any type of service for landscaping but he said that we didnt have the place in optimal state and that he hopes that we have the inside clean, I havent responded because I did not know what to say
  • Hello, my husband & I purchased an older home in Aug. The Sellers listed on the disclosure statement that they treated for roof rats. However, they didn't solve the issue. It has taken us 6 months to resolve the problem not to mention a lot of money. Since it was listed on the disclosure statement, do we have any recourse?
  • My landlord repaired a broken sliding glass door at my rental. It’s $280 dollars and he’s added it to next months rent. Do I have to pay the full amount next month or can I partially pay it off?
  • There is a gas leak between my meter & my mobile home. The park said it is my responsibility to fix it. I only rent the space. Shouldn't the utilities outside my home be the responsibility of the park?

  • We just rented a house was by management they were replacing the carpet. After we applied they said the owner said are replacing living room carpet and the rest which is ok but now that the has dried and the chemical smell gone is a strong scent coming from rooms. We signed lease week ago and everything with getting this house ready for move in been a battle with this management company. What are the laws about having urine soaked carpets a rental and having them replaced? There is huge health issues with having to breath in that smell. What are rights?
  • Once approved, how do we find out how much in food stamps we will get monthly?
  • My boyfriend is currently incarcerated on a child support warrant(held on a $10000 cash only bond). I'm trying to fill out a modification for him. He used to make $24per hour in the construction field. He lost his good paying job in Dec 2009. He has been in & out of jail for the CS ever since. Besides collecting Unemployement the only job he was able to get for a brief period was only paying him $11.00 an hour. My questions are 1)Should I use the $11 per hr or the Unemployment as income for calculating his support mod? & 2)How long can a judge make him sit in Jail? There's NO WAY we can pay it.
