Can my landlord evict me if my electricity is out due to non-payment.? In the lease it states that water and trash is included and electric and gas is the tenants responsibility. Our electric has been off for 5 days but we've payed the bill and will be back on tomorrow morning. Can my landlord give us a notice of immediate termination ?

Our landlord has decided to upgrade/renovate all apartments and says we have to move into another apartment either temporarily or permanently (our choice). This will cause inconvenience, time, energy, and money since some of us will need help moving furniture. Must they pay moving expenses, move our belongings for us, or compensate in any way? Can we terminate our lease (mine is up in a couple of months) because we are forced to move all of our belongings out? I'm thinking if I have to move everything out anyway, that perhaps I should just move altogether. The apartments are in good shape.... nothing wrong with them. What are my rights? How much notice do they have to give us? Btw.... I have housing assistance. Thank you

About 2 months ago, I trusted my car to someone I thought was a friend because they claimed to need transportation to their job. I have not seen my car since and this person broke off all communication. I have no idea where either this person or my car are. The police will not help because I gave this person the keys. They say it's a civil matter and to file a suit. How can a suit be filed if the whereabouts of the person are unknown. I need to know what my options are and want this person held accountable for stealing my car.

I have had sole custody of my three sons since my divorce in 2007. Their father moved away to vegas and only sees them at christmas, doesnt pay child support and only calls on their birthdays (after i send a text to remind him). I have ben remarried 2 years but my husband has been apart of their lives for four years now. Can he file to be a guardian so he has legal rights? How would we get this started and what would we need to do? Would this effect child support?

My divorce decree from over 40 years ago specifies my former wife may continue to reside in our former residence. Both our names are on deed to the property. How can I find out if I have any liability related to this property since my name is still on it. And if I do, how do I protect myself?

We have Jount Custody, with I being Primary. His parenting time is every other weekend. He is moving 175 miles away soon, do I have to meet him halfway without going to court first? I do not have reliable transportation due to him being $10,0000 behind in Child support. Would I be in contempt or would he need to get a court date to first change the parenting time to include meeting half way? Currently he is to pick them up at school and drop them back off at school, as we do not get along. Does that remain in effect till legally changed?
