QUESTIONS

  • I have been renting a place and the landlord let it foreclose so I need to find out my rights as a tenant asap. I am worried and have dogs and no place to go and little money to make a move! Can anyone help me?
  • My ex husband wont let my 13 year old son live with me and my son is threatening to run away from him and he was drawing pictures of himself dead. I am afraid of what he will do if he has to be there. He lives in kingman az and I live in texas. I need to know how I can get custody back from here. I tried to hire a lawyer and she was going to charge me 4000$. I cant afford that. Since he is 13, how would I get him to the court to tell the judge he does not want to be there he wants to be here with me. Please help me asap. Thanks
  • My ex and I were never married. We have a two-year old son. He has court ordered visits twice a week. He is currently homeless. he cannot be trusted with the child and the child has come home from visits unfed and with a dirty diaper and dirty clothes. When we take him to visit, they're usually at his mother's house- but she moved out of state. Now he refuses to tell me where the visits will be. I'm wondering, with him being homeless, can I break the court ordered visits? We have court again the second week of September.
  • My daughter and her boyfriend were residing in a trailer that we own without a rental agreement. Due to domestic violence filed by my daughter she moved back home with us. How do we evict the ex-boyfriend?
  • My apartment community has changed ownership several times since I moved in 4 years ago. I discovered that my unit was wired to provide electricity for one of the apartment amenities that was outside of my unit. The management has fixed the problem but they are only offering to reimburse me for the time that they owned the property, about 13 months and told me that I would have to track down the previous owners for the rest of the money. Should they be obligated to pay a rebate for the 3 years that I was paying for their electricity or do I indeed need to take it up with the previous owners
  • I got arrested for criminal damage. Girlfriend lived with me at the house I own. She is not on any paperwork on my house. She has an order of protection against me so I can not go to my house. I need to get her out. Went to judicial court to get an eviction started. They said I cannot do an eviction until I give her a written notice first. I cannot have any form of contact with her. I'm not sure what I can do. Per our verbal agreement she was to pay rent on the 10th. She did not pay. All the bills are in my name. Can I turn the utilities off until she leaves?
  • If i got my divorce on grounds of physical abuse and had soul custody of my child can he go after custody 3 yrs later
  • We recently had some water damage from a leaky toilet in a rental house we occupy collapsing a portion of the formal dining room. The leak from the toilet was caused by a faulty hose from the toilet to the wall. There was no sitting water in the small commode and with the lack of use of the formal dining room it was never noticed. Our landlord has stated that it is our responsibility since the leak was not inside the walls and that we should have noticed the damage. Both claims, the landlord and mine where denied. Now they are threatening to not renew the lease until we fix the damage.
  • My teenage daughter and I were both arrest for domestic violence and both of us were prosecuted. Same case yet we were both identified as defendants which very effectively eliminated any accountability especially by the courts to address "Victim's Rights" at all. The words "dominate aggressor" does not exist , at least not in the statues in AZ. So my question is: How do the courts justify this? Is this ethical? Every justification so far has been absolutely absurd. Have you thought this through at all? Obviously: no victim, double fees, more income, more DV programs as Dual arrests increase
  • My husband and I own our property and are building a house. We live in an r v on property in the meantime. A person who wants our property is calling in complaints to the county and now we are being evicted we also have to take all buildings down and have everything removed or they will charge us 2250 a day until it's cleared. Is that legal we can't afford to leave and have no place to go.
