  • what does hearing vacated mean
  • This is an odd question for Arizona, but in the summer my landlord keeps the thermostat locked when he is in town. He is a rather large man, and keeps the A/C at 69 during the summer. Myself and my roommate nearly have to wear winter garments to be comfortable. Not only is this a waste of electricity, but it is extremely uncomfortable for his tenants. Is there anything I can do about this? Legally.
  • I lost my home to foreclosure back in 2010.I have received a payment from the mortgage relief settlement fund. I want to know if I can seek legal action to file a claim for further compensation. I lost over $100,000( my down payment) when I lost my home. A bank that was part of the settlement was my lender. Thank you.

Tenant was notified of the uninhabitable condition on Dec 11, met me at the property on Dec16, and offered to replace carpeting with tile. I provided written notice of uninhabitable condition on Dec 16 as well. I'd like to know several things: 1) do I have a right to demand mold inspection and remediation? 2) landlord has suspended rent as of 16th, but am I entitled to storage, moving, and/or living expenses while repairs are being completed?

  • My granddaughter had me open an account with a store for a fence and now she refuses to pay. Lawyers for the store are taking me to court. I can't afford it. The house has been sold and new owners are enjoying the fence. I don't know what to do. She has moved to Florida but i don't know where.
  • My neighbor is building a porch onto his house, of which his house is already close to the property line, and having the additional balcony he will be close to the fence. He said he'll have someone to come look at it so it is 'up to code' (he is aware it has to be so far away from the property line/fence). Is there any way we can get ahold of the inspection results? Or can we petition to have him stop building the porch? He will be so close to (and a good amount above) the fence, that they will see more of our yard than his own.
