  • My son passed away June 17, 2016, he was 32 years old. He had never married and had no children. His only asset is a checking account at our local credit union. He had no co owner on the account and did not set up a beneficary. We believe there is under $2000 in the account and would like to close it out and just donate the funds. Since he had no Will and we do not have the money to open probate, is there any other option for us?

Does this mean that she is responsible for the payment of the water for the sprinkler drip system? Currently the only water meter is on my water account that I pay for. Is it legal for her to dictate how much water is used for the bushes and trees outside the house? She does not allow me to adjust the sprinkler system at all & she has her gardener increase the water for her orange tree without my knowledge or consent. Again, the water meter is under my name

  • Me and my boyfriend got an apartment together; it was $50 more than he wanted to pay. I said I would pay the $50 extra for every month that the apartment cost up front. I gave him $300 up front and told him if we were still together after 6 months I would give him the next 6 months in advance. He kicked me out but won't give me my money back. He says that I'm extorting him for money that belongs to him. I only lived there for one week, paid 1/2 of everything to move in, $25 app fee, $100 deposit, $240 which was half of the first months rent. I am just asking for the $300 back. He says it his & me asking for it back & making him pay it back is extortion. What are my rights?
