My 24yr old step son has been living with his father and I for 3 years . He pays no bills , or contributed in any way . His dad made a verbal agreement with him 40 days ago for him to move out in 30days and his dad would give him 2000$ to move . He took the money and haven't heard anything since . He doesn't answer his phone or text . Can I pack his room and store his things . Or do I need to evict .

I have started community college full time, two of my classes are not college accredited as I was educationally deprive and have to catch up to take Eng. 101 and college math. I spend more time studying than the average student as English is my second language. I work 8 hours a week at a clothing store. I just started caring for a 90 year old lady, more than 20 hours per week, in exchange for a place to study & sleep. DES says I need to work 20 hours a week to get food stamps. Would my caring of the 90 year old count as working even though I do not get paid?

I just signed a one year lease For a small apartment, when I started to move things in and out of the apartment I noticed it smells like smoke so I tried to air it out but nothing is getting the smell of smoke out and it's really affecting my allergies, I cleaned the walls myself but it's still strong enough to affect me, I asked the landlord to have the apartment painted but he doesn't want to do that, is the landlord required to paint the apartment to get the smell of smoke off
