I have been living in my rental house for 7 months. The plumbing in the kitchen and bathtub keeps backing up and The landlord has had the plumbers out seven times and still cannot fix the problem. The plumbers told us it was bad pipes and the landlord will not spend the money to fix them. So I cannot use my washer or dryer and when I take a shower I have to stand in the water that backs up. Is that grounds to be able to break my lease?

Does the Landlord have the right to do and inspection without the tenant being present. In this case they refuse to set an appointment. They intent to just walkin while the tenant is away working.

My uncle is 82 and terminally ill. He's got $75k in credit card limits...he's taken out 50K in cash advances has transferred into his sons accounts. He owns a home with his wife, but his name is coming off of the house. He's done this to leave some $ to his heirs. His wife will pay the minimums on the credit cards after his death until she sells the house, then gift that money to her daughter. What's the legal ramifications of this after his death to his heirs. There will be no estate.

My sister has been deemed terminal. She has 4 young children. She probably has a couple months to live and is stressing because her oldest daughters don't want to live with their dad but they currently have joint custody arrangements. Her daughters are 14 and 11 and their dad has another custody case that he just recently lost along with having a CPS investigation opened due to abuse from him to child. These girls were also in the car when he was arrested for DUI. Where do we need to start to be able to obtain sole immediate custody for these girls? we need some thing quick..

s there a Grandfather type law in AZ regarding HOA controlling house paint color within reason of the community standard? I am being told that my house color is no longer "approved" and I must repaint whole house (instead of touching up the wood trim with current color). This is in Scottsdale Ranch.
