QUESTIONS

  • Live in a 55 plus community bought MH. Main water pipe busted and has flooded the whole crawl space. Who pays for the cost? Who pays for damages to home?
  • where do i go to file and establish my paperwork for parental rights, and how much does it cost?
  • My husband's divorce was finalized in AZ. The 1998 divorce Parenting Plan had a clause saying "Both parties agree to designate the child as their sold beneficiary on all life insurance policies and as the sole beneficiary of their respective estates. In the event either party remarries, the remarried party agrees to maintain the child as a beneficiary of at least 50% of their life insurance policy and estate." He just passed and his now 24 old, married, not living at home, not disabled, daughter is informally contesting his will. I know he believed this was not longer valid, I need to confirm.
  • My Park charged me a $5 per day late fee on unpaid late fees. Is this legal in Arizona? The park applies any payment made to the amount due, thus guaranteeing that any payment made that is less than the entire amount owed will be subject to late fees for the entire time additional money is owed. I believe there are laws preventing that practice for mortgages but I'm unsure about rentals or leases. Shouldn't payments first be applied toward the monthly rent or lease and then any additional payment be applied to late fees? And isn't it illegal to charge interest or fees on late fees?
  • I am an American citizen and got married in India. I been staying away from my wife for almost 2 years. To file for divorce do I have to file in India or here to be valid?
  • After divorcing in 1999 I raised my 3 children for years while my ex scated on the majority of the support she was supposed to pay. I let it go. After she failed to return two from a visitation I agreed to allow them to stay with her. She jacked up my payment by 4x as much based on a former income. She now takes 50% of my income including Soc Sec and is starving me out. A civil matter at this time. Possilby criminal fraud. She is a legal secretary and knew what she was doing. 87 filings. I can't afford the copying fees.
  • Is it legal for a caregiver to take funds from their patients and can you give case precedents? Also does this apply to power of attorney too?
  • I have a roommate that is threatening to sue me. If he does, what can I do to protect myself as I am already having financial difficulties?
  • I am on section 8, I rent from a real estate agency. I am being evicted for not paying my water bill. The realtor makes me share the water bill with my neighbor, and divides it in half for us to pay. I have not been able to pay for it, I have two daughters and we struggle to pay the electric and other expenses. In the past he has allowed me to get caught up when i file for taxes. I pay it out of the earned income credit refund, this year he is not allowing me to do so. They are evicting me, I asked if i could pay it when i get my tax refund, he said no. Is it legal to charge me half of H2o?
  • Is the cash assistance program only for child support?
