  • I leased my home using a legit lease form accepted one months down for a security down. They stayed for 5 months, lived there for 2 months without paying rent before they dissapeared and trashed the home, we had to pay $2500.00 in repairs and I have not been able to re-rent the place still for 2 months. It was a 2 year signed lease. Will I have a chance to win if I take them to small claims court? I know where one of them work. Thanks Jim
  • Signed a lease agreement a few weeks ago to an apartment sight unseen due to current resident. Today, my wife and i received keys to the new apt. Immediately found a roach infestation. In every room and every corner, black and german roaches coming out of the walls. Not one thing has been moved in yet and we were in the apt for about3 minutes. Can we legally terminate and/or nullify this lease pre move in, due to health concerns with our newborn? I have video of the roaches crawling everywhere.

Recently the woman with whom I had the affair married and asked me to sign a legal paper whereby I agree to allow the child to change her last name and assume that of her husband. Does this imply her husband adopted the child?
  • We had an installer for a cable company in our house. My dog broke through the gate and bit his pants which scraped his leg. No puncture through the skin, no bleeding. Not trying to minimize what happened. It was scary. He put in a claim with his workmans comp. Now the Workmans Comp insurance company is sending us notices that we are responible to re-emburse them. The notice says "Medical Lein" Is this legal? They are being paid by the company and they also want to collect from us? The letter says I should submit a claim to my home owners insurance. Help?   • We signed a new house on july 19th, and before we moved in, we hired a cleaning company trying to clean the entire house. The thing is when the cleaning company was cleaning, they found out a bunch of fleas inside of the house. We asked landlord see if he can refund the rent for the days before the entire house completly cleaned. Should be the landlord responsbility to take care of it before we move in? Can we ask for the refund the rent for the days we can't live inside of the house?
