I was arrested in 2013 for disorderly conduct per DV and was released the next day. I received a deferred prosecution for 6 months with no fine. The charges are now dismissed. Do I still have wait 5 years to expunge my record to work at a school? My ex is doing this to our son. Where can I get help? The judge doesn't see my side of this and there was significant domestic violence in our marriage. The judge has granted my ex custody and he is a dangerous alcoholic. My daughter, his step daughter is so afraid for her little brother because she knows 1st hand what her step-father is capable of yet the judge won't let her in the court room. My ex is extremely good at conning and manipulating the system and has the judge fooled. I don't know what to do and now I can't even see our son. What can I do?

We rent a house from our landlord. The house has a swamp cooler the connection from the swamp cooler to the water faucet broke. It caused my water bill to increase by $80. My landlord is telling me that it's my responsibility to know if something is broken and therefore I am responsible for the increase. I informed them immediately after I knew and shut the faucet off. The connection is something that needs to get replaced every year. Is my landlord right? Am I responsible for the water bill increase?

I am trying to get married again to someone else and want to make sure we are allowed to now.

I was at work and there were two people in my home without my consent and one of them had a warrant, and the other person answered the door and allowed cops to come inside without a warrant and found guy with warrant in my bedroom. They then said they found drug paraphernalia in plain view. They arrested me later in the week and charged me with paraphernalia. What rights did cops have and what should I do? I donot plan to plead guilty for this charge. Please help.

I live in Nevada, but my father lives in Arizona. His wife claims that she has a restraining order against my wife and I, prohibiting us from contacting my father. I have never been served or even contacted by any law enforcement entity in Nevada or Arizona. Is there any definitive way to to determine if there is an order in place?
