QUESTIONS

  • My mother passed away. She does have a will and I was nominated as the executer and trustee. I am the sole beneficiary. She only has a bank account but when the account was setup nobody was on the account but her. no payable unpon death. What is required by the bank for me to access the account to begin paying for her expences? Her will did state that I shoud have immediate access without going through the courts.
  • To whom it may concern; My mom was deported back in 1997-1998. She was charged with a crime prior to that and did 3 years of probation. It was after the 3 years of probation that the U.S. deported my mom. She was punished for 7 years I believe. She is back in the U.S. and I would like to know how to help to get her papers. My brother and I were born here in Arizona U.S. of A. and just don't want our mom to be looking over her shoulder all the time.   • I am a 21 year old college student sharing a condo with my landlords daughter. I gave my landlord notice that I would be moving out the 2nd week of May and she was ok with it. She has been taking the rent in the middle of the month every month except when we initially moved in we paid on the 1st. I am just paying my rent for April, today the 11th. But she told me if I stay in the condo past the 1st, I have to pay, because rent is from the 1st to the 1st. She stated she took it out in the middle because the utility bill doesn't come till the middle of the month. So she included them together.

  • I've been renting from this lady for about two years and she's been telling me she wants to self. but when she sells that she would put me on a lease. so I would not lose my place to live. an then all the sudden yesterday she brings me a letter of termination. Then told me I need to move out in 2 months. I'm a single father I barely making the bills. an we're in the middle of a pandemic right now? I'm afraid that I may not be able to find a place that I can afford and will accommodate my needs. and does she have to pay a relocation fee to have me move in the middle of a pandemic.
  • Last year we fell behind on our home payments. We tried to work with the lender for months, Instead they set a foreclosure date. We only owe $265,000 plus the arrears on our home which is now appraising at $422k. We were forced to file Ch. 13 in order to stop the foreclosure and save our equity. My spouse now has a high income job offer out of state. We want to rent out our home instead of selling & dismiss the BK but still owe over $18k in arrears. With our bad credit due to the BK, what are our options for getting a loan to pay the arrears? Our home will rent for $2800 and our payment is 2k.

  • We put a maintenance request in over a year ago about a leaking skylight. The property manager has yet to fix it. It is getting worse and growing mold now. I put in a new maintenance request over the weekend and have yet to hear from anyone. Is this something that I can withhold rent for until it is fixed or should I hire someone to fix it myself? I do have proof of the original maintenance request dated 4/19/2019 as well as the one I just put in. I don't know how they expect me to pay $1500 dollars for a home with a leak and mold that they won't fix.
