  • I put a deposit down on an apartment along with an application fee. I was told I was not able to rent the apt. after they ran my application but will not return my security deposit. Can they legally keep my deposit? I understand them charging me the $40.00 for the application fee, but can they keep the $225.00 holding deposit?
  • My boyfriend has two kids with his ex and is paying child support.Whenever the ex feels like keeping the kids from him she will,Sometimes for a year at a time. His kids have expressed that they want to be with him. What can he do to get visitation and/or joint custody?

If i placed an order of protection how will that work if my ex the father lives with her? I'm at a total loss.

  • We terminated our lease early. We gave them notice in writing. They have continued to stall getting the house rented to someone else. It was ready to be moved into at the first of the month and they won't even let a new tenant look at it until the 10th. I read that according to Ariz rev stat 33-1370 that a "landlord has a duty to find a new tenant". I'm having a problem finding that actual wording in the law. We are on the hook for rent until a new renter is found, but it seems they are preventing that.
  • In the dot com recession, my IT job disappeared. I had to refinance my home. My son signed the new mortgage because I needed his income to qualify. He's been at his new job 9 months makes $13 per hour. I've heard about Quit Claim deeds. Can he be removed?
