I have rented for 3 years and a year and a half ago my girlfriend moved out - walked out on the lease. I stayed and informed the landlord that my girlfriend had walked out. I am now leaving the property and have given proper 30 day notice. The landlord is stating that the security deposit has to be made out to both myself and my ex because we were both on the original lease. My lease expired and I have been on a month to month basis for the last 2 years. Can the security deposit be issued in my name only if requested in writing on the Notice for Return of Security Deposit?

I was legally separated 12/7/2017 and the divorce was finalized 01/17/2019.During our separation I allowed my ex-wife to use my truck to drive our son around. She was in a car accident 06/2018 shes at fault (the truck had no insurance, we had a verbal agreement she would pay for it and she did But for afew months).Theres now a civil law suit against us for damages+. On this document its says I’m negligent or lending her my car. she says that legally I am at fault for everything because the truck is only under my name. she caused this car accidents but am I responsible since it’s my car?

I own my trailer but rent the space. The owner of the park passed away and we were left alone for a few months. Rent checks were returned and it was chaos. I received a certified letter saying I have not paid rent for 4 months, when I know I have. I have proof for 1 of those months, but cannot find the others. The office is open for 3 hours a day while I'm at work, so I stick it in the outside mailbox that is locked. Other tenants have received the same notice and said they also paid. Some tenants are also suing the park for abandonment. What can I do to prevent paying rent twice? Thank you
