QUESTIONS

  • I started divorce proceedings against my husband but now he is dying from liver failure and on hospice. Which is to my advantage, the divorce or remaining married, we are separated now. This is purely a debt issue because of medical and other outstanding bills of his. I am disabled and live on my SS and he has no income being unemployed for over 2 years but recently accepted to ahccs.
  • My sister recently moved to AZ and left her children at my house & didn't tell me she was moving. She left me with no guardianship, power of attorney or ANYTHING that will give me authority to take these kids to get medical attention god forbid something happens. They've been living with me for 10 months. How can I apply for legal custody/guardianship? 4 kids and no help from the parents. I have 4 of my own. What do I do?
  • I recently found my biological brother so would I ever be able to get custody of my niece and nephew who have already been adopted by another foster family?
  • We currently have a mortgage on our home as well as a home equity line of credit. If the first mortgage company forecloses on our property, can the bank that we have a home equity line of credit sue us or file a judgement on us for the amount of the home equity line of credit we used?
  • what does it mean when stated in a will "and hereby revoke any and all wills and Codicils heretofore made by me."
  • what is the amount of income to be reported. Is it over 2000 in resources,a monthly amount or longer.this is for renewal.
  • We have been renting our current property for 3 yrs. It changed owners after the first yr. We live in a 3 bedroom our first yr lease had us paying 750 a month rent. When the new owners renewed the following yr they raised the rent to 800 a month. Upon our third renewal and 2nd yr with new owners they raised the rent to 850 a month. This will be our 4th renewal 3rd lease with new owners and they have offered lease renewal for 1851 a month. This is a 1000 dollar increase monthly. Not only does it appear unethical, it seems illegal. Is this illegal? Fmr for this area is about 1360.
  • Hello I own my Mobile home with a clean title but rent the space. I have been in the same park for four years. I am under a written month to month rental agreement that I signed in November of 2016. There is no expiration date on the rental agreement nor has it been terminated. New management has taken over and are treating all tenants as holdover. Since a month to month tenancy is self renewing, doesn't new management have to terminate the existing rental agreement before I am considered a holdover tenant? Further, they have issued a 14/30 cure quit notice on the demand to sign a lease.
  • when a minor commits dv against a parent, shouldn't the minor be removed from the parent and dangerous and unsafe environment?
  • My divorce papers state that my ex-husband pay for our daughters extra-curricular activities (piano, gymnastics etc)as well as $20.00 a month child support. He is not doing any other is. It also states he must see a therapist which he has not done. His visitation is Tuesdays/Thursdays 3-7 and every other Saturday but I have been letting him see her whenever he wants. Does that mean I'm in contempt? What can I do about him not paying for the things he's supposed to and going to a therapist? He still has not taken the parenting class the court requires either.
