QUESTIONS

  • I signed a 7 month lease which was up on July 4th. I asked for an extra month after my lease expired and they said, no problem. I went in to pay this months rent and they ask me to pay almost $300 more for the extra month. I told them I was not told of an increase in rent and I don't have the extra money for this. Is this legal for them to raise the rent without any kind of notice? They also put a 5 day notice on my door.

  • I am the guardian of my 2 grandchildren (their mother is my oldest daughter) she had been in a domestic violence situation with the kids dad (he is in prison until July 2016) she lives with friends, no job, possible drugs. He does drugs and has a new girlfriend pregnant. I do not want either of them to obtain children EVER. What can I do to protect the kids and myself since Arizona tends to want to reunite children and parents. This is not a good idea with either of the biological parents. I love them to much to have them suffer. Guardian since 2010, they are age 9 and 6. suggestions?
  • My home which is worth 230,000 was sold in a trustee sale for 12,753.85. I found out the 1st trustee has the same last name as the company president of the company that bought the property. Before the sale a substitute trustee took over. I believe this sale was done with an Irregularity in conduct and an Inadequate sales price. What recourse do I have. Time is of the essence.   • I filed for ch. 7 bankruptcy and my debts were discharged on June 2011. To this date I'm badly behind on my house payments, and my lender offers me a reduced monthly payment of $350. The problem is that my lender does not want to make any promises in writing and does not give me straight answers on what happens if I keep my end of the deal. I'm affraid my lender will simply foreclose when it may fit its interest, disregard of my needs. Also, it is wise to enter into any deals post bankruptcy if my debts are discharded already and thus, uncollectable? Thanks!
  • I started renting out a room in 9/2018. I received rent until middle of October and have been waiting for payments until then. In March I received $ 250 out of $ 450. I already served this tenant with a 5 day non pay but could not follow up with the eviction notice because I got sick. I am mostly wheelchair bound on top of that. Now this tenant has moved several pieces of furniture into the garage without my permission, blocking access to parts of the garage. What can I do and what can I do with those furniture? Please, I just want my peace back. I need help.
