We the grandparents have been involved in our 3 grandgirls lives for 12 years.our daughter has legal custody the father has not been for 10 1/2 of those he has parental rights but has not used them there have been some issues with my daughter and he filed for temp custody and decision making and will be filing for full custody 1 1/2 years ago he had the girls for 1 yr and we found out the stepmother was beating them with cords and belts now that he has temp custody is that enough to go to court and us try to get custody from them both

I have a 4 year old, the father has been in prison for 4 yrs. His name isn't on the birth certificate, paternity has been established. went to court for child support. judge verdict; im financially responsible untill dads released.father was released dec 2012.we tried to work it out.I was the sole provider for him and my son financially.Father became physically abuse(towards me) had black outs, son was almost hit with a rock the last incident. no report filed , we moved states. dad is in prison till aug 27 2013(unrelated), what is best solution? full custody and restraining order??

I was convicted of a 2 felonies (non-dangerous and non-repetitive) about 19-20 years ago. I'd like to now change my name but am concerned this might be a hang up. The reason i wish to change my name is simple. I don't like it, never have. most people who know me call me by the name i wish to use (first name anyway). what should I anticipate as objections or concerns? By the way, have only had one traffic ticket in the past 20 years.

What can someone do if a person is holding personal items at theor home? This someone moved in there for a shirt time and moved out and can't get the rest of their things. The person is either hiding them or just won't give them back. What can be done to get them back? Please let me know asap.

My child lives with me for over a year now and child support is still being taken out of my check, what do I do to stop it?

I purchased an ET center from a local store. I signed a paper that said no refunds and exchanges are per their approval. I asked them to place this furniture on hold for a least a month as our home was being rebuilt from a fire. Twelve days later I called them and advised I no longer wanted the furniture and they have refused to credit my credit card due to the paper I signed. Is this legal for them to say no refunds on furniture I never got?
