  • My landlords son has a office downstairs from my apartment there is 4 apartments. He is never there beyond 6 pm and never calls for the rent we have to track him down to pay him and he will only take cash he posted a note in the hallway that stated he will start adding late fees if payment is 5 days late 50.00 and 100.00 if paid after the 15th how can he just start doing that if he is never around to collet the rent? Also I live on the 1st floor and have a child under 10 should I have window guards on my windows?
  • I have been paying $20 a month since May 2006 on a credit card debt. I was taken to court and agrred to pay this much until my debt was paid. I believe I had around $1665 to pay. I have made every payment but in Dec of 2010 the collection agency stopped cashing my checks. I have called several times and was told my account is closed. They will not tell me how much I owe or where I should send a payment to. After calling several times they hang up on me or put me on hold forever. What should I do? I've been paying for 5 years.
  • My landlord is kicking us out of the house a month before our lease is up. During the time of our stay in this home, no repairs have been made after we notified them and the previous tennents possesions are still in the home. They have also refused to give us an copy of our original SIGNED lease and instead emailed us an changed copy that had our name typed out through a different person months later. Full access to the house was not given despite what was implied in the lease. They made unannounced visits and we have reasonable suspicion that they are leasing this home without a license.

  • Is there a "lemon law" for refridgerators. We have a fridge less than 4 years old, the compressor went out and GE fixed it without charge. Then a month and a half later the freezer stopped working. It was repaired, then broke again one month later. Repair men have been out to the house multiple times and can't fix it. GE is stating that they will give us a discount on a new model but will not replace under the limited 5 year warranty. Do we have any legal rights in AZ? Thank you.
