QUESTIONS

  • My family and I have a lease for property. Today we received a notice taped to our door stating that there was going to be a "notice of trustee's sale" on the property. What rights do we have in this situation? Is this considered our 30 day notice to vacate? What action or responsibility does the management company have in this situation?

He hasn't seen or attempted to see our son and speaks on the phone with him MAYBE once a month, he hasn't supported him financially this whole time even though he has a steady job. My contact information has remained the same this whole time as well. I have never denied him access to our son he chooses not to contact him would his actions be considered a form of abandonment
  • I just rented a new apartment and there has roaches infested in the unit. • I wish to evict my 18 year old son. There has never been a lease as he has been a minor until recently. There are reasonable household rules regarding drinking, drugs, smoking, language, chores, etc. He chooses to disobey rules because he claims he can as an adult. He neither works nor pay rent nor contributes financially. How do we evict him?
  • If the a/c unit goes out in your apartment can you deduct the cost of a hotel room from your rent
  • I received my electric bill this month and it was nearly 9 times what I usually pay. I think it was because of the water heater in my apartment. It was malfunctioning and wasn't heating the water correctly for about 2 days, and then it was fixed by the apartment maintenance. I've talked to the landlords at my apartment complex and it seems like they are not going to help me in any way with my electric bill. If it was the water heater, is it fair that I have to pay the electric bill for their water heater malfunctioning and sucking up electricity for 2 days?
  • Can I be evicted or forced to move to another apartment for complaining to management about a roommate, who is on a separate lease, who daily raises the volume on her audio device in her bedroom to a level that I can hear it in my bedroom, with both bedroom doors closed, and where I cannot be on the telephone because the other party cannot hear me over her music?
