QUESTIONS

  • I signed a lease before property management would show me the apartment. I have not moved in and I am very unhappy with the apartment can I legally break lease. I never was given a copy of my lease agreement either.
  • My landlord is evicting me because she says my son is valdalizing property in our complex. I believe this to be untrue and wish to dispute the eviction. How can I go about that? Also, does the landlord have to take me to court to seek eviction, if so I may then be able to state my case before a judge. Is this true? I have a witness to the charge of vandalism. Debra

The insurance company is refusing to pay for our belongings because they said he isn't residing there. If he is receiving mail there and has a utility on in his name at that address and the bill is mailed to him at the same address is that considered as him residing there?
  • We are preparing to sign a lease. The home was marketed as having a 'large fenced yard for kids and pets." Upon inspection, this 'fenced yard' has one full side of a metal fence completely fallen over, with metal sticking up, posing a safety hazard and not "fenced" for our dogs to be able to safely access the yard. The property mgmt. company said that they're aware of this, but the owner wants to focus on working on the house and not fence at this time. She said we can do something temporary (at our own expense) in the meantime, and possibly discuss this again in the future. Is this legal?

  • I have a question dealing with statute of limitations. I had cosmetic surgery in July 2017. Afterwards I had Ramsey Hunt Syndrome in my left ear. I have lost balance and dizziness problems due to the damage. I had tests performed by a doctor in fall of 2019 which diagnosed the extent of damage from this. Would the statute of limitations be from date of Ramsey Hunt diagnosis or could it be from the date the damage was measured and diagnosed by a doctor?
