QUESTIONS

  • We are senior citizens. A bank is offering us a home loan that we assumed was fixed interest-the rate dropped a fraction, even-then I happened to notice an unfamiliar phrase with a tiny checked box-'demand feature'. I looked it up: the bank can demand payment, calling the loan, at any time without giving a reason. It said that some states prohibit that practice. Is Arizona one? Calling the loan could destroy us and force the property into foreclosure.
  • I was 15 and my boyfriend was 19 and I got pregnant. I am now 18 and he has been in prison for since i got pregnant. he is a heroin addict, and served time for burglury. I do not want any contact with him.what can I do if he contacts me?
  • I have overpaid child support because I was working 2 jobs at once (for a few months) and the clearinghouse took from both paychecks. Can I file for reimbursement, and if so, how do I do that?
  • My spouse was stationed as active duty in AZ, where we bought a house together and he still has an AZ driver's license, pays AZ taxes, and that house is his official address of record. Mine has changed. Can I file for divorce in AZ since he is an AZ resident (does the court consider him an AZ resident)? Thank you.
  • If you live with someones family but not on the lease can you be given a 30 day notice because they want you out
  • Can I file a claim on my former employer? They fired me because I am bipolar and I was off my medication and posted an opinion on a recent news event during a manic mood swing episode - that was totally unrelated to the company, the employees, the wages, or working conditions? If so, who do I contact?
  • An insurance company contacted us and informed us that our father purchased us whole life policies the year of our birth. He is not alive so we have no information on these policies. The insurance company claims that both my brother's and my policies have had two loans issued against them on the same date. They cannot provide us any documents to prove the loans that have over the last 30+ years have increased for interest and penalties to over $8500 on each policy. It is my understanding that an active contract requires documents associated must be kept. Would that be accurate?
  • I was served my notices and went to court with my landlord. She got a judgement against me for unpaid rent and was granted a writ of restitution to be received on 9-1-09. On the morning of 9-1-09 when I returned to the property to finish moving, she had locked the gates. My dogs were still there and I had not been served the writ by the constable. Turns out that she did not received the writ until 10:18 that morning but the gates were locked at 8:48 a.m. Does the writ have to be served or is it just given to the landlord and they can do as they please?
  • I am already covered by AHCCCS. I was recently married and was wondering if I can add my husband to be covered under my insurance?
  • My ex had 50/50 legal decision making and then left our child with me and moved over 150 miles away. He did not file for a petition for relocation and did not make any attempts to see the child for over a year. Does this constitute as him waiving his rights to the child since he abandoned him for over a year.
