My house was foreclosed on in 2008; the 2nd Mortgage was not used to purchase the home, and the 2nd Mortgagee has now sold the "note" to a collection agency. If the 2nd Mortgagee never filed or sued me on the deficiency can the collection agency pursue the collection of this debt? Who is the holder of the written contract that I had with the original lender?

My girlfriend is the manager of the apartment complex where we live. She has me listed on the management portal (resident log-in) as “roommate” and as the manager, she is on a month-to-month lease. The quarantine has been difficult for her, but she has a track record of less than pleasant behavior and I have recorded her. There is a quarantine due to COVID I have a medical order advising that I self quarantine. Can she kick me out at whim or lock me out of my home or otherwise threaten me since there is an Executive Order in place and I am a Protected Class?

My downstairs rental had water damage caused by the upstairs empty rental where the water was not turned off. Parts of the ceiling and walls had to be removed and a restoration team had to dry the wall. Being a home worker and this a very small place, I found a temporary rental. This happened mid-month, I was out for 2 weeks and now I am being asked to pay full rent on the first under the reason that I choose to be out. I have not been answered on when the place will be made whole again and if it would be of consideration to adjust for the days I was not living there. No answer was given,

We gave a roommate 30-day verbal notice that his month-to-month lease was up. If he doesn't leave could his drinking binges (including driving on a suspended license, with no insurance), and belligerent, vaguely threatening but scary behavior be enough to get an immediate eviction started? He will go into the kitchen falling down drunk when everyone else is asleep, and I'm afraid he could start a fire, by accident or on purpose. Or would we have to give him written notice and start from square one? Thanks!
