  • Can my sister keep my car from me if the title is in my name?
  • I have co signed for my adult son for the last 3 years. A new property management company took over the lease for the last 3 month. The new property management company did not inform me that they took over the lease. My son gave a 30 day notice on January 5 2018. He paid January rent. The new property management company says he is responsible for February rent as well. They are informing me now that I need to pay February because I am a co signer. (My son is now a student and can not afford the rent) Question: Are we responsible for February 2018 rent because the 30 days went from 01/05/2018?
  • I’ve lived in my apartment for 8 years and they have never replaced my carpet. Is there any law that will force the property managers to replace my carpet.

  • I am being evicted for complaining. I was served papers at 5:30 on Friday the 12th. I went to the courthouse Monday morning and filed an answer. There was not a judge at the time, the court clerk told me to sign the papers and she would get it taken care of. I also filed a counterclaim. I had to appear in court on the 18th. I appeared in court and asked the judge for a couple days extension so I could have ample time get legal council...he refused. He would not allow me to enter any evidence, pictures, letters, etc. I have 5 days to move....I signed a lease! Can you help me understand

  • I received a notice from the IRS saying that they will levy my Social Security check for non-payment of taxes. I am 70 years old. My only source of income is Social Security of $1798 per month. I have no assets. I live in an Assisted Living facility which I pay room and board of $1649 from SocSec and ALTCS benefits pay the balance. I am left with $109 per month for personal needs. Can the IRS levy 15% of my Soc Sec? How do I stop this levy?
